December Already!!

I have been neglecting my blog again!

So many months have gone by since I last posted anything and we are into December already !

I really like this Christmas postcard of a faithful, but very bored,

poodle tied up out side a shop whilst her owner goes gift shopping.

So whilst looking at Poodles, I thought I would hunt around and see what interesting stamps were about and these caught my eye.

First day of December!

The first day of December brings out the best in most people as they realise just how near to Christmas we are! The shops are full of decorations and gift ideas and neighbouring houses are starting to decorate already! There is an air of excitement around.

Its too early for me though, I usually put up the decorations nearer the middle of December.

I love these vintage cards, I hope you can use them.

This poem was sent to me via email, I dont know who wrote it but I hope you enjoy it!

Twas the night before Christmas,
I'm glued to the tree.
I'm wondering what Santa has brought just for me.
Could it be cardstock or chipboard or lace?
Or a Cricut, I said, with a smile on my face.
And that's when I heard him.
"Hi Santa, " I said.
"You know....good little girls should be in their beds."
"I know I should Santa,and now I've got caught.
But I was just so excitedTo see what you brought."
"Well, let's take a look in this room where you work.
He shook his head quickly,
And left with a jerk.
I heard him exclaim as he put it in gear.

"You've got enough crap, I'll see you next year!"

Christmas Trees and Turkeys.

This is the Christmas tree at my friend Ingrid's house, it looks even prettier when it is lit up! I received a Christmas Card from my sponsored turkey Ollie :-)

He's called Ollie after my dear old Chinese Crested boy who passed on several years ago.

Ollie the Turkey is at Hen Heaven where he will spend the rest of his natural life scratching and strutting in the pasture to his hearts content along with lots of other turkeys and chickens.

He is only a young lad, he was rescued with about 60 other turkeys a couple of months ago.

If you can help Linda and her helpers in any way, she would be most grateful as Hen Heaven is run entirely on donations and volunteer work.

Christmas Tree

This is a Christmas Tree made out of beer cans that I spotted in a local garden.

I have to say this is the first one like this that I have seen.. very strange!!

Not just for Christmas.. Turkeys at Hen Heaven.

Hen Heaven has just received 60 baby turkeys who won't be dinner on Christmas Day.

Linda Turvey who runs Hen Heaven will be offering people the chance to

sponsor and name a baby turkey.

Linda provides a secure home for up to 1000 ex-battery chickens on a pretty pasture in the aptly named town of Henfield, West Sussex. England.

Hen Heaven is funded by producing 'happy eggs' and supplying them to local restaurants and shops.

It is a non-profit making organisation. All money is used for the upkeep of the hens.
